At Helping Hands, we’re here to make getting food support simple, respectful, and stress‑free. Whether this is your first time visiting or you’ve been here before, our goal is to welcome you with kindness and make sure your household has the food it needs. Below you’ll find everything you need to know before you come in, including when we’re open, what to bring, and how eligibility works.
How Our Pantry Works
Our pantry is open every Thursday from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.

Service Area
Helping Hands Food Pantry serves neighbors in Ardonia, Clintondale, Gardiner, Highland, Modena, Plattekill, Wallkill, and parts of New Paltz.

What to Bring
To register, please bring:

What We Provide
Each visit includes at least three days’ worth of meals per person in your household. You’re welcome to visit weekly, and all food is provided free of charge.

Eligibility
Eligibility is based on household income guidelines set by the New York State Temporary Emergency Food Assistance Program. Household income guidelines can be found here. You are automatically eligible if you participate in programs such as SNAP, WIC, TANF, Medicaid, or SSI.

Weather Closures
During winter weather, Helping Hands follows the Wallkill School District.

If Wallkill closes, the pantry is closed.

If Wallkill has a two‑hour delay, the pantry remains open.
